Hello there,

My name is Semir, I recently received a bachelor of arts degree in digital animation from the university of Hertfordshire and I am currently looking for work.  I would say I am a generalist who specialises in 3d modelling, I find all areas of this profession to be interesting and I like to learn about everything.

I realised that I wanted to be a 3d artist when I was very young and I first saw the film “Jurassic Park”.  Like a lot of people who saw the film, I was blown away by this new technology that brought the dinosaurs back to life and made them completely believable, and about 6 years ago I got a hold of some 3D programs and began to learn.  At first it was very slow because there wasn’t a huge amount of training materials that I could easily get a hold of and about 5 months before I started my degree I purchased a gnomon workshop dvd on modelling human heads and I began learning everything like crazy.

My inspirations come from films, I love the paintings by old masters like Rembrandt, Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio, Leonardo Da Vinci.  I’m also inspired by living artists such as Anthony J. Ryder and Juan Medina.  I have always wanted to learn how to draw well but I have been so busy trying to become skilful at all things 3D I just havn’t had time, I hope to learn this year though.
